Adding a Connected Sensor

Rüt Cellars supports automated connections to SensorPush and Temp Stick sensors, keeping your storage zone data current without manual effort.

SensorPush

Rüt Cellars supports the SensorPush HT.wx (Extreme Accuracy Water-Resistant Temperature / Humidity / Barometric Pressure Smart Sensor) model for a couple of reasons. First, is it has a "sensor membrane and o-ring seals for a durable splash and rain proof design" making it a good choice when used around potentially damp produce. Secondly, it is one of the few sensors on the market in the U.S. that are "made in the USA".

The Rüt Cellars app supports retrieving data from SensorPush sensors when used with their G1 WiFi Gateway. The gateway enables the sensor to always be connected and uploading its data without the need for a mobile device to be nearby. Also it means you can place the sensor in a refrigerator, and place the gateway nearby, with a good chance of getting the signal out of the metal box that is a fridge. The gateway connects to both your sensors and your WiFi ensuring you always have access to the most current data from anywhere.

When you receive your sensor and gateway from SensorPush just follow their instructions for setup. The process is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. In order to use your SensorPush devices with Rüt Cellars you just have to make sure to login to SensorPush's Dashboard one time. This first login completes the setup of your account with SensorPush. After you have completed that step, you can follow the steps to add your SensorPush sensor(s) with G1 WiFi Gateway for monitoring through Rüt Cellars. We securely store your SensorPush login information to access the SensorPush cloud on your behalf.

Temp Stick

Rüt Cellars supports Temp Stick WiFi sensors via the Temp Stick API. To connect, you will need your Temp Stick API key. In your Temp Stick account, click Account in the left menu, then select Developers. Your API key is listed there — click Show Key to reveal it. You can also go directly to mytempstick.com/account#developers. Once you enter your API key in the Rüt Cellars app and click Fetch My Devices, your available Temp Stick sensors will load for you to connect.

Syncing Data

Once you have added a connected sensor to Rüt Cellars, data syncs automatically approximately every hour — no action is required on your part. All readings since the last sync are downloaded and your dashboard stays current on its own.

If you need the very latest reading right now, you can trigger a manual sync at any time by clicking the Sync Now button on the applicable zone card in your Dashboard. Syncing can take from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on how long it has been since the last sync. Current readings will be updated immediately and other data, such as the Freshness Meter, will be updated within about an hour.

Managing Members

As the owner of a site, you can invite additional team members to access and interact with your site data. To invite a new member:

1. Open the menu and navigate to the Settings page.
2. Scroll down to the Team Members section.
3. Click the Invite Member button.
4. In the dialog that appears, enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
5. Select a role for the new member (see role descriptions below).
6. Click Send Invitation.

When inviting a member, you can assign them one of two roles:

• Viewer: Can see all data, sensors, zones, and foods on the site, but cannot make changes.
• Editor: Has all viewer capabilities, plus the ability to add and edit Zones and Foods within the site.

Account Deletion

Rüt Cellars enables complete deletion of your app account and all associated data directly from within the app.

To permanently delete your account, follow these steps:

1. Open the menu and navigate to your Profile page.
2. Scroll down to the Account Deletion section.
3. Click the Delete Account button.
4. Follow any on-screen prompts to confirm the deletion.
